Description
This is the original Indian “Chicken on a stick” marinated in specially selected spices.
Chicken Tikka is a Pakistani/Indian origin dish made by baking small pieces of chicken which have been marinated in spices and yoghurt.
It is traditionally made on skewers in a tandoor (Indian clay oven) and is usually boneless. The literal meaning of “Tikka” is pieces of chicken. Of course, the dish can also be cooked in a pan or pot as with normal curry.
The South Africa “Sosatie” is a Cape Malay version of this dish.
The recipe and all instructions are on the back of the packet.
