      Hi Guys,

      I unveiled my first batch of biltong this evening and am so happy to tell you that it was a HUGE success.
      We had a couple of South Africans over for the "first taste test" and they all thought it was a good as the real stuff if not better!
      I am indebted to you for your help throughout the process. I am going to try various types of meat each time because no-one knows what "silverside" or "topside" is.
      In this first batch, I used "top sirloin" which I am told is from the hind quarter of the cow.
      Anyway, I am big hit with all my mates - that is all that counts!

      Well everything went great and my biltong turned out excellent!
      I work with a South African bloke so he had a try and reckoned it was "the real thing!"
      I'm up for the next lot now so I'm going to check out the recipes again and have a go at something different.

      Hi Biltong Guys!

      WOW ..... our first batch of biltong was great !!!!!

      We have a butcher here in Canada who had a shop in Toronto in a prominent South African area, so he started making wors and biltong, not bad, but not like ours!!
      He had since relocated to our area, much to our delight! To start of our Rockeys 5kg BILTONG MAKER we made droëwors with his wors and the family consumed it in about four days.
      But when the biltong was ready from the Quick Biltong Recipe it was gone in two days! I had to hide a piece to give to my daughter in Miami, especially as she has shares in the Biltong Maker as my son's Christmas present.

      Rockey's Biltongmaker has a permanent place in the kitchen as is working all the time!!
      Thanks for keeping in touch with your News Letters, I do enjoy receiving them, as well as all the future Biltong we will be eating.

      Hi Biltong Team,

      My wife bought me a 5 kg biltong maker and some Safari Biltong Spice for Christmas.
      I have just finished eating the results of my first batch of biltong and boy was it "lekker"!! It has made me a bit home sick.
      I shared some of it with a South African friend of mine and he also loved it. Now have started my second batch today and just can't wait to taste it.
      It is really great to have biltong readily available here in Northern Ireland. My local butcher is going to make me some wors next week to dry in my biltong maker.

      Well, where do I start!
      Firstly thanks for the prompt delivery. One huge problem is that I bought a machine that is too small!
      I can't keep up with the demand from "FRIENDS". I think I need at least 4 machines so that I can have biltong available EVERYDAY!

      I picked up my Rockey's Biltong Maker last night. When one looks at the package it seems very small, but I haven't properly got home or my son start to unpack the lot and we had to assemble it. Very easy to do. I believe almost any person should be able to assemble it.
      The best of it all is the smell of the spices when one opens the box and start to unpack. It smells great!
      If the biltong taste as good then it will be a winner.
      If all go to plan we should start our first batch tonight.
      Will keep you posted on the success.

      Good news from Germany. I have made it!!
      I can´t believe it, it works! I have made my first biltong ever! Far from Africa after 3 days my first production was finished.
      OK, I used a little bit to much spice. But I will learn by doing. The meat (beef) I used in Germany is called Rinderbratenfleisch. Good quality and a good taste. Yesterday I started my second attempt.
      Ooh I´m so happy!!
      You know, biltong was my food as a child in Africa. Uncles and grandfather produced it on their farm. We left Namibia when I was 10. Since that time I have eaten it just a few times.
      But time of suffering is over now! Thanks to the BILTONGMAKER!
      If there is any of your German customers who needs information about working with the Biltongmaker give him my e-mail-address. I will help or assist.

      Brilliant!!
      The texture was just how I like it. Not too dry. My girlfriend had never tasted biltong but she'd listened to me raving on about it for years.

      I thought that I would let you know how the biltong was that I made with Worchestershire sauce.......
      It was was wonderful!
      Maurice my husband and I enjoyed it very much. But my youngest daughter preferred the one I make without the sauce.
      Next time I will try the one using red wine mixed with the vinegar. My usual recipe I use is so simple and easy to make, and a great success. But I do like to experiment. It was also the first time that we have ever frozen a batch of biltong. Wonderful idea.
      We froze it while just a little bit red and soft inside. Now we have a never ending supply.
      I love your web site, and it really makes me homesick...........even though I left South Africa 27 odd years ago.

      I have lived in Munich (Germany) for the last 12 years and since starting making Biltong the quality of life has improved.
      The beer is fantastic over here but Biltong was sadly non-existent. I have quite a fan club for the stuff now and find it hard to keep up with all the orders!

      I got a Biltong Maker for my birthday from my folks. It's been a God-send in London as the quality of Biltong is not up to scratch and, since having it, have been enjoying TOP QUALITY stuff!!!!!!

      "I was delighted that such a compact gadget could produce biltong in a hygienic environment and to my own particular taste so quickly! I enjoy dry, spicy and fat free biltong which was ready in four days! The one thing I did notice was that the meat must be correctly cut (much like steak).
